Four Gangster Cops Held Over Abduction

Four police thugs and an accomplice are in custody in Loitoktok over abduction, and robbery with violence.

Corporal Geofrey Mwongela, Police Constable Alex Katana, Kelvin Njuguna attached to Buru Buru Police Station and Tony Sirgoi of Uhuru Camp are in Custody over the crime.
They will be handed over to DCI for processing.

The four robbed a Tanzanian national of Sh.80,000. The victim reported the incident to Inspector Samuel Okoth who deployed police to track the uniformed thugs.

The Tanzanian National reported that the officers from Nairobi arrested him on Friday 27/05/2022 and drove with him to Nairobi using a civilian motor vehicle and extorted from Sh.80,000.

The thugs were later spotted at Shell petrol station along Loitokitok Email road.
The suspect were in two motor vehicles Reg. No. KBB 424T Toyota NZE and KDA 837T Mazda Demio metallic grey.

They were stopped by the officers who were in uniform but defied and spend towards Loitokitok airstrip forcing the officers to fire in the air. They surrendered and were promptly arrested.

The civilian was identified as David Mutua Matiti, a Kamba male adult aged 33 years from Masinga Area.

One occupant in motor vehicle Reg. No. KDA 837T escaped towards Emali and effort to trace in progress.

The suspects were in civilian clothes and carrying with them, one full set of police uniform, a pair of handcuff and police communication gadget serial number not visible all held as exhibits.
