BY PRUDENCE WANZA – A Chinese national has been fined Ksh.50,000 or face 2 months imprisonment for selling uncertified seeds in Nairobi.
Feng Yadong is accused of selling 10 Sachets of Chinese cabbage seeds, 2 sachets of Radish Chinese seeds,30 sachets of Leek Chinese seeds,5 sachets of wax guard Chinese seeds,52 sachets of lettuce seeds and 5 sachets of green vegetable Chinese seeds all valued at Ksh. 35,000.
He is said to have committed the offense on 28th September 2019 at city Park market in Nairobi.
Yadong pleaded guilty to the charges before Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku at the Milimani law courts.
He was ordered to pay a fine of Ksh. 50,000 or face a jail term of 2 months.
