Coach Otto Addo Names Ghana’s World Cup Squad

Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo has named his final 26man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Black Stars are making their fourth appearance at the World stage in Qatar after beating Nigeria in the final playoff games.

Otto Addo announced a 55-man squad list for the tournament last month which has now been trimmed down to twenty-six (26) players.

The West African giants will be without the services of two experienced goalkeepers Richard Ofori and Jojo Wallocot as well as RDC Mallorca midfielder, Baba Iddrisu due to injury.

Spanish-born Inaki Williams and former England Youth international, Tariq Lamptey who switched their international allegiance to represent Ghana at the senior level earned a spot in the Black Stars final squad list for the World Cup.

Ghana will kick off the group stage against Portugal on November 24 before facing South Korea and Uruguay.
