BY FAITH MUTETE – What happens if the beacon of hope, loses hope? Co-founder of the mental health non –profit Anthem of hope and also a pastor of megachurch Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California Jarrid Wilson passed on from suicide on Monday.

Wilson was open about his own condition of depression, often posting on social media accounts about his mental illness issues.

Before he passed on he earlier on went to twitter and shared an encouraging post that read,

Loving Jesus doesn’t always cure suicidal thoughts.
Loving Jesus doesn’t always cure depression.
Loving Jesus doesn’t always cure PTSD.
Loving Jesus doesn’t always cure anxiety.
But that doesn’t mean Jesus doesn’t offer us companionship and comfort.

He ALWAYS does that.

Friends and family of the young passionate pastor also send their condolences with his wife leading them by sending an Instagram post that said, “Suicide doesn’t get the last word. I won’t let it. You always said “Hope Gets the last word. Jesus does,”

The news of Wilson’s death comes on Suicide Awareness Day, September 10, and follows a number of high profile suicides among pastors and the mental health community.,
