The Government of Kenya is set to construct a fly-over at T-Mall junction along Langata road- By Enock Sotsi
The flyover will allow vehicles headed to Ongata Rongai and Magadi to pass over an elevated road to the Shell Petrol Station next to the Wilson Airport.
Vehicles headed to Mbagathi Road, South C, Wilson Airport will use the underpass in a move that will terminate traffic jams at the busy Langata Road.
Last week, the Environmental Impact Assessment of the project commenced, with the contractor expected to submit a report once it is complete.
The project scope includes the construction of five footbridges at strategic locations along Langata Road, Mombasa Road and Mbagathi Road.
In a letter to stakeholders the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) Director in charge of design, Samuel Omer, the authority urged the public to volunteer and participate in public participation on the impact of the project.
The Project is conceptualized under the Public-Private Partnership between the Government of Kenya and the Government of the Kingdom of Spain.
