KeNHA repairs on flood-wrecked roads in Homabay near completion

In line with the government’s efforts to restore roads damaged by floods, the Kenya National Highways Authority is constructing a box culvert along Othoro-Kasipul Kabondo road.

Heavy rains swept away a section of the busy road, disrupting transportation of people and goods in Homa bay County.

A deviation was eroded during heavy rains on a section where a box culvert is being constructed. This deviation is currently in good shape.

A tweet by KeNHA confirmed that the section is passable after a user pointed out that motorists were suffering from the incomplete road repairs. However, KeNHA distanced itself from the ‘old photo’.
