Cop Arrested In Botched Firearms Deal

A police officer has been arrested in Naivasha Town while attempting to sell a gun.

The officer, Constable Patrick Kimani had arrived at a club in Naivasha with two other persons, ready to sell his Ceska pistol, loaded with 40 bullets.

After they arrived at the club, the officer was arrested.

Aside from the 15 bullets in the pistol, there were another 25 in a box, indicating that the owner wanted to sell them.

It’s unclear how much he was paid to sell the firearm in question.

He had purportedly requested a local informer to find a buyer for a gun he had.

The police were notified and posed as buyers to trap the unsuspecting officer.

According to police, they were able to collect a government-issued weapon from the three as well as the automobile they were driving.
