Cop Recounts the Last Moments of Senior DCI Boss’s Before Death

According to preliminary reports, his body had a deep cut on the right side of the head. 

A police officer who spoke with a senior Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officer before his body was discovered dead on Friday, March 3, said he did not recall his colleague displaying any signs of distress.

According to the cop, the DCI officer assigned to Nyamira County was full of life as they conversed outside a police station in the Manga area.

Their engagement was cut short when junior officers rushed to the station to lower the National and police flags before 6 p.m. When he returned, he discovered the senior DCI officer was missing and immediately alerted his colleagues.

According to a report filed in Nyamira, the officers heard a woman collecting firewood screaming.They rushed to where they heard screams and discovered the deceased body on the cliff.

According to preliminary reports, his body had a deep cut on the right side of the head. 

Traces of blood were also discovered at the cliff’s base.

It was not immediately clear whether the senior DCI officer was murdered or committed suicide.

“We are still gathering information about this tragic incident, but investigations are ongoing,” he said.

He also described the deceased as a hardworking officer who rose through the ranks to become a member of the DCI unit.

His colleagues, who were still reeling from the mysterious death of the DCI officer, praised him for his service as well.

Residents were also concerned about the mysterious death of the senior DCI officer, urging police chiefs to speed up investigations.
