A six-year-old boy has died of the Coronavirus while undergoing treatment. It is said that the boy had an underlying sickness that affected his immunity, exposing him to the coronavirus.
This adds to Kenya’s death toll in the pandemic to 4 people, as the country registered 12 new infections. 362 people were tested in the last 24 hours according to the ministry of health.
At the same time, the Government is tracking 680 cases of individuals who came into contact with the positive cases.
The new infection cases give hope to the flattening of the curve in Nairobi, but raises the alarm over the more than 600 people suspected to be positive.
The Government took the opportunity to display locally manufactured Personal Protective Equipment safeguard health workers. The gear is being manufactured by Kitui Textiles factory as well as in Rivertex industries.
