Court To Deliver Sentence on A Nanny Who Ironed a Baby

Makadara Law courts is set to make a ruling today on a house help, who admitted to burning a two-year-old child’s buttocks with an electric iron box. – By Gerald Gekara.

She was arrested at Dandora phase V estate in Njiru sub-county Nairobi County, moments after she fled her employer.

According to her employer, CCTV footage from within her home showed the house help laying the baby down and pressing a hot iron box against his buttocks.

She then fled the home claiming she had gone to process her identification documents.

The maid pleaded guilty before the Makadara Chief Magistrate Eva Kanyiri on February 26th. She also pleaded for leniency as she was only 17 and a half years old.
