COVID-19 cases fall to 87, as Six more die from complications

The Ministry of Health has confirmed 87 new coronavirus cases in the country, tested from a sample of 3,766 in the last 24 hours.

This pushes Kenya’s COVID-19 caseload to 98,271 while the total number of samples tested so far has risen to 1,092,144.

From the cases, 78 are Kenyans while 9 are foreigners; 58 are male while 29 are females.

The youngest patient is a 5-year-old child while the oldest is 88.

In terms of counties; Nairobi led by (36) cases, Busia (17), Uasin Gishu (6), Mombasa (6), Kilifi (5), Homa Bay (3), Kwale (2), Kisumu (2), Nakuru (2), Machako, Taita Taveta, Kiambu, Trans Nzoia, Nyeri, Isiolo, Kakamega and Makueni had (1) case each.

A further 67 new recoveries and 6 new fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours.

Kenya’s total recoveries now stand at 80,875 while the death-toll from the pandemic has risen to 1,710.
