CS Owalo Represents Kenya at the 16th German Digital Summit in Germany

    Information, Communications and the Digital Economy CS Mr. Eliud Owalo participated in a dynamic plenary discussion on ‘Shaping Digital Sovereignty Globally,’ hosted by Jennifer Bonne at the 16th German Digital Summit in Jena City, Germany.

    Leaders from academia, civic society, the public sector, and the corporate sector convene annually at this summit hosted by the German government to discuss the future of digitization.

    Important topics that were discussed were developing digital skills, protecting public data, strengthening digital sovereignty, improving artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security, and technical innovation.

    This event is an important forum for talking about digital improvements because of its extensive international participation, which includes nations like Kenya.

    Influential figures present in the panel included Stefan Schnorr (State Secretary – German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport), Francisco Gaetani (Secretary for State Transformation – Brazil’s Ministry of Public Service Management and Innovation), Paul de Bott (General Manager – TSMC Europe) and Marianne Janik (CEO- Microsoft Germany).
