Daughter Arrested For Locking Her Parents Outside Their Kasarani Home

A 24-year-old lady is in court for reportedly locking her parents out of their home in Kasarani, Nairobi, forcing them to seek shelter at a Neighbour’s home.

Faith Mokiera was charged with creating a disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace for throwing her parents out of their home.

According to the charge sheet, she threw household items outside while shouting at her father David Nyambane and locking him out of his house in the Marurui area on May 8,2023.

The father returned home at around 8pm only to find his wife outside the house and upon enquiry, he was informed that their daughter had locked herself in the house.

He pleaded with her to open the house but she allegedly declined and hurled expletives at him while throwing household items at him and others who were outside the house.

She was later arrested and charged at Makadara Law Courts, but denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Agnes Mwangi.

She was released on a cash bail of Sh4,000.
