Kenya Railways top management has been summoned by DCI officers over an ongoing probe into the affairs of the Corporation. The investigations touch on issues to do with a cargo transportation deal and the management of a pension scheme to a South African Company.. They are expected at the DCI officers at 9am. Yesterday, KPC Chairman Michael Waweru spend part of the day at the DCI headquarters over the same issue. It is not clear whether he will accompany the management to the DCI officers. There has been a vicious boardroom war between the KRC management and the board over various issues pertaining to the management of the SGR contract. Already the acting CEO a Mr. Mainga has been asked to revert to his original position as logistics manager after expiry of his six month acting sojourn.
