Dennis Itumbi ‘Harassed’ In Hospital

Dennis Itumbi’s lawyers have requested that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) investigate a case in which he was reportedly harassed while in the hospital.

Adrian Kamotho and Njenga Advocates issued a statement to the DCI on Thursday urging the DCI to intervene because their client was in imminent danger.

The firm’s principal lawyer Adrian Kamotho, who was accompanied by Boniface Magoha, a key witness in Itumbi’s case, took statements at the DCI offices in Kiambu Road.

“We are instructed that on 29th December 2021, persons who presented themselves as DCI officers visited the medical facility where our client is recuperating at the ICU seeking among other things, to obtain undefined statements,”

“There can be no justification as to why our client, a victim of heinous atrocities is being trailed to his hospital bed in absolute disregard of his health and legal rights.” the statement read.

Magoha was the taxi driver who discovered Itumbi and transported him to the hospital.

Itumbi, who works as a Digital Strategist for Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA party, was allegedly attacked and kidnapped on Kiambu Road on December 23, 2021, and has since been sent to the hospital.
