William Ruto, the presidential candidate of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, has arrived at the Bomas of Kenya ahead of the announcement of the presidential result.
The deputy president was accompanied by his wife, Rachel Ruto, and running mate Rigathi Gachagua, as well as other Kenya Kwanza politicians.
The Independence Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced today, Monday, August 15, at 3 p.m., that it will officially declare the presidential outcome.
This follows extensive verification and tallying of votes at Kenya’s Bomas, which began on Tuesday, August 9, when Kenyans cast their ballots.
Earlier in the day, Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah and Agano party presidential candidate David Mwaure arrived at the auditorium.
Kenyans have been anxious to find out who will be their 5th President, with calls for peace to be maintained across the country during this period.
