The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has recovered several public properties within Eldoret town that had been grabbed by individuals.
Speaking in Eldoret town, EACC regional deputy director Japhet Baithalu said the recovered properties are valued at Kshs. 1.15 billion.
Baithalu said tittle deeds that private individuals were holding for the said plots, sitting in prime areas in Eldoret town center have been already canceled and handed over to the treasury.
Among the recovered public land include the one housing Uasin Gishu district hospital as well as Eldoret central police station.
