Fake Safaricom Engineer Arrested By DCI

Police apprehended a man who destroyed Safaricom telecommunications equipment worth over Ksh. 2 million, and the equipment was confiscated.

After convincing the guard to let him in, Lenny Ng’ang’a, posing as a Safaricom engineer on a maintenance trip, obtained access to a transmitter site in Murang’a.

After a while, the guard became suspicious of the man’s actions and called the cops, who arrived on the scene right away.

The suspect, on the other hand, was able to flee.

This prompted a chase between the new Suzuki alto KDB 522P and police officers on a Land Cruiser.

The police caught up with the suspect a few kilometers past Saba Saba, compelling him to pull over and surrender.

The suspect’s automobile was searched further, and the telecommunication equipment was discovered, which had been vandalized elsewhere.

The suspect’s vehicle was seized, and he is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow to account for his crimes.
