Feed the vulnerable now, Mombasa Archbishop says

Mombasa Archbishop Martin Kivuva Musonde has urged Kenyans to donate generously to the poor “because this is the doctrine of humanity.”

Archbishop Kivuva said the Catholic Church will lead from the front in alleviating the economic crisis emanating from Covid-19 and urged Kenyans to share whatever little they have with the poor.

He said even the disciples shared with a stranger, only to realise later that the stranger was Jesus Christ himself.

“We must share Muslims, Hindus. Every body. Please share and save a life”, Kivuva said.

Consequently, the entire Catholic Church has launched a campaign to collect funds to help poor Kenyans survive the COVID-19 initiative.
The initiative will be coordinated through the Caritas.

“We can’t just sit and do nothing. We must help the poor navigate this crisis”, Kivuva said.

He was speaking at the Holy Family Minor Basilica during a live Sunday Holy Mass celebrating the third day after Easter.
