Following a dispute over the payment for fish, a man from the Ntabuta area of Tharaka Nithi County has admitted to killing his coworker.
Geoffrey Mukinda, 34, a fellow fish vendor, was allegedly killed by Nicholas Nthiga, 42, because he had taken his stock and refused to pay for it.
Mukinda is said to have hit Nthiga during the argument, inciting the latter to become enraged and strangle Mukinda.
Emmanuel Kibunjia, the area chief, confirmed the incident.
Nthiga was detained at the Marimanti police station after being arrested.
