Former Coast MP Mwahima dies

Former Likoni Member of Parliament Mwalimu Masudi Mwahima has died.

According to reports, Mwahima died on Monday night, August 24, at around 11 pm at his home in Vyemani, Likon sub-county.

Mwahima was reported to have been admitted at a hospital on Sunday, barely 24 hours before his death.

According to his son, Mwahima was a suffering health complications, including Asthma and Diabetes.

“He was okay when we brought him back. However, today night when we were seated outside our home, there was a long silence and we went to check on him, only to find him dead,” he told the Daily Nation.

Mwalimu Masudi Mwahima belongs to the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Likoni Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the 2007.

The former MP becomes the latest ex legislator to die in Coast region, after Changamwe MP Ramadhan Kajembe succumbed alongside 3 other family members.
