Former Kasarani legislator Elizabeth Ongoro and her husband Ferdinand Masha Kenga to appear before Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission over a 48 million shilling Kasarani Girls’ High School that is nonexistent.

“The Commission conducted investigations and established that the school does not exist and that payments were made to different individuals and companies associated to the National Government Constituency Development Fund (CDF) patron and committee members,” read the EACC statement.

The two will face charges of misappropriation of funds meant for development, and the former Mp, if found culpable, will face Abuse of Office charges.

In 2011, Ongoro’s husband was arrested and charged with stealing Ksh. 1.9 million from a CDF kitty. He however denied the charges and was released on Ksh. 150,000 cash bail.
