Former minister contracts Covid-19 after hosting party at her Runda home


Former Assistant Minister, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has allegedly contracted Covid-19.


The former Starehe MP is said to be recuperating at a city hospital.
According to reports, she contracted the disease after hosting 18 people at a prayer meeting.

The bishop held a prayer meeting at her home, where one of the attendants tested positive for the virus.

Out of the 18, so far 8 people were confirmed to have the virus while the rest tested negative.

President Uhuru Kenyatta issued orders to forbid the gathering of more than 15 people to help contain the spread of the coronavirus.

His included closure of churches and political gatherings.
