Maliti Running Mate Defects To Nzioka Waita

Maendeleo Party chap chap governor aspirant Francis Maliti, has taken a hit after his running mate defected to former State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita.

Rose Wambua, who left the Machakos deputy governor’s seat, claimed that she had joined the victorious team after realizing that they were going nowhere.

“I looked at Nzioka Waita’s background; he is on another level in terms of management, administration, and education. I looked at what he has accomplished and where he can lead us. “

On Sunday, Wambua spoke to the media at Mbondoni Catholic Church in Kangundo subcounty.

“We were undergoing lots of problems in Maliti’s camp. I realised that it was difficult to start solving those problems. I noticed we couldn’t clean up the dirt in the county while in that camp. I couldn’t carry that baggage,” she stated.

She claimed that Waita’s potential to change Machakos County was what drove her decision.
