Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua has said that Uhuru has endangered Mount Kenya by abusing anointed people during his speech at Sagana 3 and has only made the situation worse.
Adressing a press conference in Trans Nzoia County after meeting Kikuyu people, the Mathira MP stated that the President said nothing in Sagana that he had not said before.
Gachagua believes that the abuses were unnecessary, and that President Uhuru Kenyatta should not use his position to criticisechurch leaders.
“He was also not daring enough to endorse Raila Odinga, he was talking in parables. He skirted around the issue,” He said.
Additionally MP Gachagua said that he was not invited for the Sagana 3 meeting but Uhuru accused him of not turning up.
Kimani Ngunjiri, Bahati MP who was also meeting with Kikuyu leaders, slammed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s support for the ODM leader as “high-level hypocrisy.”
“The Gema must stand united behind the Deputy President who has been betrayed by President Uhuru,” Ngunjiri added.
