crime scene

The death of a 75-year-old German national in Nyeri after a dispute with his wife is being investigated by police.

Weise Klaus Armin’s lifeless body was discovered hanging from the door frame of their master bedroom, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Rosemary Wangui, 38, said she had visited her ailing mother in nearby Othaya earlier in the day when she made her case at Nyeri’s central police station on October 15.

When she returned home to Muhasibu Estate in Nyeri’s Gamerock region, she allegedly discovered her husband breathing fire and accusing her of infidelity.

After an altercation in which the man allegedly threatened to kill her with a knife, she was forced to run for her life.

After that, the deceased locked himself in his room, where his lifeless body was eventually discovered.

When Nyeri police got on the scene, they broke into Armin’s bedroom and discovered his lifeless body hanging on a rope.

The case was promptly taken over by homicide experts from headquarters, who were joined by a backup team from the Crime Research & Intelligence Bureau and scene of crime investigators.
