Google names Agnes Gathaiya as Country Director for East Africa

Agnes Gathaiya has been appointed the new Country Director for East Africa at Google.

Agnes, who boasts a 21-year experience in organizational transformation, focused on developing strategy, will manage the regional operations for East Africa.

She will be responsible for developing and executing the organization’s in-country strategy for innovation and growth.

She will oversee the building and managing strategic partnerships, including relationships with leading advertisers, agencies, and clients as well as driving revenue growth.

Agnes has more than 21 years of experience. She was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kenya’s digital payments company, Integrated Payment Services Limited (IPSL).

She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from United States International University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Bryn Mawr College in the USA.

Agnes will replace Charles Mutoro who has been reassigned as the Director for Sub Saharan Africa, Government Affairs & Public Policy.
