Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Mr Stephen Isaboke, met with a delegation from the Office of the Government Spokesperson, led by Government Spokesperson Dr Isaac Mwaura, for a focused engagement on strengthening integrated, whole-of-Government communication.
The discussions underscored the importance of a unified communication approach across all sectors, noting that effective coordination is critical to consolidating Government gains, affirming progress and ensuring that all Kenyans are carried along the national transformation journey.
The meeting also explored practical measures to empower Public Communication Officers (PCOs) to communicate more effectively, engage meaningfully with citizens and enhance their role as storytellers of Kenya’s development agenda.

It was noted that an integrated communication strategy would significantly improve clarity, consistency and impact in Government messaging.
Dr Mwaura emphasised the need for Government communication to evolve from a predominantly mainstream media model to a more product-led, digital-first and instant communication approach, anchored on coordination and a whole-of-Government framework that clearly distinguishes development messaging from political communication.
Also present in the meeting were Deputy Government Spokesperson Ms Mwanaisha Chidzuga, Secretary for Public Communication Ms Patricia Ondeng, Assistant Director of Information Mr Edwin Manoti, and Head of Public Communication Unit Ms Michelle Dibo.
