Governor Kibwana to unveil key water, school projects in Makueni

At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, the government banned public meetings, slowing down outdoor activities.

At the time, county government officers went on a charm offensive to complete then ongoing and new projects as finances could allow.

Beginning this week, governor Kivutha Kibwana is leading members of his cabinet in unveiling the complete projects and inspecting the ongoing ones.

On Monday, governor Kibwana together with water and trade CECs toured Kiu-Kalanzoni ward, Kilome sub-county, where they unveiled Mithanga satellite ECDE centre and Malili water project.

Deputy governor Adelina Mwau flanked by Health and Education CECs toured KaKo/Waia ward where they unveiled Kiukuni ECDE centre and Mithumo borehole.In Makueni sub-county, Devolution CEC Joshua Wambua and his Gender and Social Services counterpart Lawrence Nzunga commisioned Kwa Kivila borehole and AIC Kitulani ECDE centre in Muvau /Kikumini Ward.

This water project will benefit 4,000 residents including Ngosini primary and secondary schools.
