Dr. Alfred Mutua, the leader of the Maendeleo Chap Chap party and a presidential candidate in 2022, will release his presidential manifesto today.
The event will take place in Nairobi’s Panafric Hotel.
Mutua announced in September of last year that he will run for president in 2022. If elected, he promised Kenyans jobs, economic freedom, and togetherness.
The governor, who is in his second term, stated that things in the country were not right and would never be right “until we change the leaders that lead us.”
After being approached by a number of Kenyans, including disillusioned youth, Mutua felt compelled to enter the race.
Mutua claimed that the country’s forebears’ dream of independence had been lost, comparing Kenya to a computer that needed to be restarted.
