Written By Faith Walucho ||

Kisumu governor Anyang Nyong’o has said the county governments are unable to collect land revenues on the land in counties because people have stopped the process of land surveying and valuation through court injunctions.

He also wants the parliament to come up with laws that allow land to be taxed according to its value.

He was speaking during the 7th Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) Africa regional conference held in Kisumu.

Abraham Samoei, president of ISK, wants the government to increase the resources allocated towards survey and mapping so that they get updated maps.
