Pastor In Trouble For Detaining A Dead Man’s Land

The International Gospel Ministry Pastor was charged at Milimani Law Courts with forcible detainer contrary to the Law.

Patrick Sabuni Wafula from International Gospel Ministry was charged alongside Vincent Okwaro, a Chairman of the Nyumba Kumi initiative.

The two are said to have forcibly detained a land belonging to the late Francis Kiambi Kiriro.

“You are charged that on April 17, 2023, within Embakasi Sub-County in Nairobi being in possession of land parcel number LR.No. 30099/8 estate of the late Francis Kiambi Kiriro without colour or right in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace” reads the charge sheet.

Vincent Okwaro was separately charged with willfully and unlawfully resisting arrest from a police officer.

The two appeared before Chief Magistrate Lucus Onyina and denied the charges.

They were each released on a cash bail of Ksh 20,000.
