Former Statehouse Digital Director Dennis Itumbi wants the high court to stop his defense hearing on the alleged fake DP Ruto assassination letter.
Through his Lawyer Katwa Kigen, Mr. Itumbi filed an application on Thursday 17th February 2022 before Milimani Chief Magistrate Susan Shitumbi to have typed proceedings of his La Mada Hotel allegations case.
The Court in this case where Mr. Itumbi is charged with publishing false document ruled that he had a case to answer.
It was this ruling that forced Mr. Itumbi to challenge the ruling at the high Court. He is seeking the high Court to stop his defense hearing at the Lower Court.
He is also seeking to have the ruling by the Magistrate Court nullified.
Mr. Itumbi together with his co accused Samuel Gateri are facing charges of making and publishing false document.
They are believed to have forged a letter claiming that powerful government officers meeting at La Mada Hotel planned to assassinate DP Ruto.
The application ruling has been slated on 10th March 2022.
