The ruling of former citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe and ex-lover Joseph Irungu alias Jowie has been deferred.
The two suspects appeared before the court to know their fate in the case of the murder of business lady Monica Kimani.
They were in the company of their parents and close friends.
However, after hours of anticipation, the clerk showed up and informed the duo judge Justice Grace Nzika could not make it.
She informed the court that the new date shall be communicated soon.
The two through their defence lawyers led by Prof Hassan Nandwa told trial judge Grace Nzioka they were maliciously charged with murder.
