Former Starehe MP Charles Njagua Kanyi, popularly known as Jaguar, has released his first song since he joined politics five years ago.
The new song “Nitume” featuring Ugandan musician Ambassada is intended to spread love and peace during this tense post-election period.
This comes days after the Starehe constituency elected a new Member of Parliament. Jubilee candidate Amos Mwago won the seat with 50,787 votes while his rival MP Simon Mbugua of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party who garnered 35,548 votes.
Tweeting about his new song, Jaguar wrote, “Just dropped my new single #Nitume after a long break. I collaborated on this with my brother @AmbassadaMusiq from Uganda.
Jaguar was elected to serve the Constituency of Starehe in Nairobi on a Jubilee Party ticket on August 9, 2017, after defeating Steve Mbogo, Boniface Mwangi, and Mwaniki Kwenya.
