Jay Z, Michael B Jordan set to release TV series about Muhammad Ali

A report by Deadline has established that Jayz’s Roc Nation team will be teaming up with Michael B Jordan to produce a TV series that documents the life, accomplishments and legacy of the greatest boxing icon of all times. – By Stephanie Mwangi.

“It’s an incredible honor and I bring tons of respect to it,” said Jordan this being the second production he will be involved in that entails boxing. He was the lead actor in the movie Creed where the story line is about boxing. “It’s a healthy weight to carry to be able to tell the story of Muhammad Ali. It’s a project that we have partnered with the state and we will be able to tell the story with no red tape. I am really excited about it.

As a boxing enthusiast and since this is the world I have been living in in the past five or six years with the Creed organization. To be able to honor Muhammad Ali and elaborate on his legacy is something I am really excited about. “

The production comes just in time when Regina King’s film One Night in Miami, which documents a fictional conversation between Malcom X and Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown and Sam Cooke as they met in a hotel to celebrate Ali’s win against Sonny Liston on February 25th 1964.

Deadline also reported that Ali’s estate will be involved with the Josh Wakely-written project.
