A woman has filed a child support case against renowned businessman Jimnah Mbaru, alleging that he has abandoned all parental responsibilities over their 3-year-old child.
Suyianka Lempaa is seeking a monthly maintenance fee of Ksh.320,000, which includes Ksh 50,000 for food, Ksh 50,000 for medical expenses, Ksh 50,000 for clothes, Ksh 100,000 for shopping, Ksh 20,000 for miscellaneous expenses, Ksh 50,000 for house help, and an annual school fee of Ksh.600,000.
Food and shopping, rent, security, clothing and housekeeping, entertainment, medical coverage, education, transportation, and utilities will all be covered by the lump sum.
According to court documents, the woman, who is currently 24 years, began dating Mbaru in 2017 and remained with him until her son was born in 2018.
Mbaru allegedly then granted power of attorney to another man, who would be a putative father and assume parental responsibility for the minor an act which does not exist in Law.
Jimnah Mbaru was required to pay Ksh 50,000 per month for the minor’s maintenance, however, the cash has never been remitted to the mother’s account.
The woman also claims that Mbaru has refused to have his name listed as the biological father of the minor on the birth certificate, thereby denying identity.
She now claims that Mbaru is a wealthy man who can support the child without difficulty, claiming that the minor will suffer irreparably if her demands are not met.
She also wants a DNA test, and she wants the putative father to refrain from claiming paternity for the minor because it will harm the child’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
She is seeking to move the Court to consider the interest of the minor in accordance to the Law and grant her prayers.
