Jirongo Quest To Unite Warring Luhya Leaders

According to UDP leader Cyrus Jirongo, Luhya leaders are attempting to unite the community ahead of the next general election.

According to him, the unity talks would ensure that the community has a clear goal for 2022.

“We want to bring together all of our people. We’re working on that because you can’t do it without knowing who leads the team and for what,” Jirongo explained.

“I’d want to give the unity bid one more shot. This is something I’ve been doing for a long time and it’s working. We’re 90% done, and we’ll be talking to our people soon.”

In any talks for the next general election, he said, the team leader will be required to interact with other communities on the community’s basic minimum.
