Joyce Wanjiru Nyambura was found murdered in Kahawa West two days before her departure to Qatar, where she had secured work.
She had been stabbed in the abdomen and mouth.
Nyambura had finally gotten a job after years of sorrow and futility, and she would be traveling for Qatar in two days, on July 30.
“After missing her, the agency that was assisting her with her travel called my phone.”
Cecilia said she informed Nyambura of the call from the agency through her boyfriend, Golden Nyakundi, nicknamed Ras.
However, three days prior to her travel, the unthinkable happened.

“He stabbed her on the side of the abdomen and mouth with a knife, She also had dents on her head as he had hit her severally and she was bleeding from the mouth and nose. She breathed her last as she tried to get help from our third-born sister. We found her laying on the front door with blood spatted at the corridor.” her Brother narrated.
The family lays blame on her boyfriend Nyakundi, who has since disappeared.
Nyambura had previously been married, according to the family, but her husband died in 2013.
Since then, the 34-year-old became a single mother till she met Nyakundi.
“Nyambura’s boyfriend did not want her to go to Qatar.” On Monday, I was with the couple, and everything appeared to be in order. If he didn’t want her to leave, why did he have to kill her? Why be so inhuman? These are some of the questions we’re asking ourselves.” Muchiri inquired.
The family, who filed a report under OB. 04/27/7/21, is demanding justice and asking the police to expedite the inquiry because the suspect is still on the loose.
Nyambura’s remains will be released for burial Today, Tuesday 3rd August 2021.
