The Nairobi Metropolitan Services has constructed and equipped 15 new health centres in the county.
The 15, mostly deep in filthy slum areas are a game changer to the lives of thousands in the crowded informal sector.
They include Muthua in Uthiru, Kiamaiko, Mukuru Kwa Njenga, Soweto, Ushirika and Zimmerman.
President Kenyatta has routinely toured the facillities to ensure essential supplies are in place.
Nairobi slums House 80 percent of the City population. Most of the slum residents live well below the poverty line.
State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita lauded the NMS, the Ministry of Health for delivering on President Kenyatta’s directive to construct 24 new health facilities within the city.
The NMS has also paved various city roads to ease traffic within the city.
