Nearly two months after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce, Kanye West has given his official response. Like her, he also requested joint custody of their four kids and did not ask for spousal support. – By Sharon Maina.
The rapper is requesting joint physical and legal custody of their four kids North who is 7, Saint who is 5, Chicago who is 3 and Psalm who is 23 months old. This is according to the April 9 court document.
The SKIMS founder, Kim Kardashian, seems to be on the same page, since she also requested joint custody. This means that the pair will have to work out an arrangement for sharing their children.
His court filing asserts that they should each pay for their own legal fees, and he agrees with Kim that neither party should pay spousal support.
Kanye, who cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their breakup, asked that their separate and shared property be determined according to proof at time of trial or settlement.
On top of welcoming four kids, the estranged spouses have been through a lot together, ever since their $2.8 million wedding in Florence, Italy, in 2014.
