Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has revealed that the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examination (KCPE) results will be out next week.

Speaking after commissioning a new CBC classroom at the Kayole South Secondary School, Professor Magoha said marking most of the answer sheets from the exams which were concluded last week was near completion.

According to the CS, candidates will know how they performed as early as Wednesday, March 23, and parents will be able to start arranging for their children who are anticipated to join form one next term.

“So we are still working with some time next week, anytime between Wednesday and Saturday depending on the President’s availability, we should be able to tell our children how they have performed,” he stated.

According to the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC), 1,225,693 candidates sat for the exams throughout the three-day period, a 2.86 percent raise over the number of KCPE candidates who registered for the national test last year.

This will be the second year KCPE results are released within two weeks after it was administered.

At the same time, the ongoing KCSE theory entered the fifth day Friday with the Education boss monitoring the Chemistry practical paper at Alliance High School where he later commissioned a new CBC classroom at the facility.

While addressing the media, Magoha said the CBC Infrastructure is 85 percent complete.
