KeNHA Scoops Major Awards In Trade Fairs

    The Kenya National Highways Authority scooped a number of awards at the Kisumu International Trade Fair.

    The Authority emerged first in the category of ‘The Branch Chairman Commendation Trophy’, second in ‘The Best stand that displays initiatives in providing viable transportation services’, second in ‘The Best local stand in strategies of international trade and exports’, third in ‘The Best Government Ministries Stand’ third in ‘The Best stand that promotes National Cohesion and Integration Development’.

    Prime Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, was the guest of honour during the official opening of the Kisumu Regional ASK Show at Mamboleo Showground.

    During his tour of the showground, Hon. Mudavadi visited the KeNHA Pavilion, where he was received by the KeNHA team led by Nyanza Region Senior Engineer Eng. Jeckoniah Opudo, and Deputy Director, Corporate Communication, Samwel Kumba, who took the visiting delegation through the mandate of the Authority, road projects in Nyanza and Western regions, as well as the technical and operational aspects of the Bridge Inspection Vehicle, one of its kind that KeNHA has in the region.

    KeNHA thanked all staff members, management, and Board members for their excellent performance.

    Last week, KeNHA also bagged a couple of awards for assembling an informative pavilion at the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Trade Fair in Nakuru.

    The Authority emerged position one in the category of “The best stand that displays initiatives in the provision of viable transport system”, position two in “The Best stand that has embraced Information Technology and Communication systems, and also second position in “The best Innovative and Invention stand”.
