Kenya Airways has been awarded the African Airlines Association Airlines of the year award for Best Improved in intra-Africa Connectivity.
This according to the awards ceremony, was attributed to the National carrier being able to open the highest number of African routes from 2018 which include Mogadishu, Malindi, and Mauritius.
While recieving the award, KQ Chief Executive Sebastian Mikosz emphasised Kenya Airways’ mission to connect African states to the World.
“Kenya Airways continues to offer the best connectivity in Africa with 44 destinations in the continent while providing the continent with unmatched connectivity to the rest of the world through our 55 destinations worldwide,” said Sebastian, while receiving the award during the AFRAA Annual General Assembly in Mauritius.
Also awarded was Royal Air Maroc that emerged African Airline of the Year in the global operations category for best-improved results in 2018 and its remarkable financial performance.
