Kenyans Block Nairobi-Mombasa Highway Over Water

On the morning of August 11, police were forced to use tear gas to disperse demonstrators who had barricaded the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway after the water supply had been turned off.

Angry residents of estates along a busy highway in Bangladesh barricaded the road with jerricans and handcarts, according to a video.

The protests caused a massive traffic jam that stretched for kilometers, forcing motorists, particularly truck drivers, to wait for hours as police dealt with the mess.
