Kenyatta University Slammed Over Accident Fundraiser

Kenyatta University is on the receiving end of angered Kenyans after appealing for well wishers to help foot the medical and funeral expenses of the deadly Voi accident.

The varsity was forced to limit the number of comments on the X post after Kenyans questioned why the university is not utilizing insurance funds to settle the bills.

Others raised concern as to why the University is not treating the students at its premiere KUTTRH hospital and the dead at its two morgues for free.

Monday’s road accident claimed the lives of 11 Kenyatta University students in Maungu on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway

The bus was carrying 54 students on an academic trip to Malindi. Also on board were a lab technician, a student leader and two drivers.
