A senior Kericho County Accountant has been presented in court over a 9 Million tender to rehabilitate a water pan.
Willy Kipkoech Langat, arrested on 15th January 2022, was charged with 5 counts of corruption regarding the rehabilitation of Chepcholiet water pan.
According to court documents, Mr. Langat allegedly flouted procurement rules by fraudulently awarding a contract to Dewdrops Sons Ltd. contrary to a decision by the tendering committee.
Mr. Langat was released on a 50,000 cash bail.
