Kericho Pastor Arrested Over Wife’s Murder

A 35-year-old pastor from Kap DC village, Kedowa in Kericho has been arrested after murdering his 32-year-old wife in what is believed to be domestic violence.

Kedowa Chief John Ngetich confirmed the incident, saying the man, a pastor in one of the churches, killed his wife after an argument over unclear issues.

According to Ngetich, the man attacked his wife with a wooden rod before slicing her on the neck, killing her instantaneously.

He said that after murdering his wife, the pastor covered her corpse on their matrimonial bed and retreated to the sitting room for the night.

According to the administrator, the pastor awakened his eldest son early in the morning and told him to bring the village elder to the house.

The son heeded his father’s instructions and proceeded to notify the village elder.

When the village elder came, the pastor informed him that he had a fight with his wife the night before and had beaten her, but he wasn’t sure whether she was still alive and requested him to go check on her in the bedroom.

The village elder then informed the chief, who rushed to the scene and discovered that the woman had already succumbed.
