KING OF BERLIN: Eliud Kipchoge Wins The Berlin Marathon

World-renowned marathoner Eliud Kipchoge has won the Berlin Marathon, extending his winning streak to 5.

Kipchoge is the first runner in history to have won the Berlin Marathon five times. He currently holds the marathon world record, which he set with a time of 2:01:09.

Kipchoge stated ahead of the race that his main goal is to win three consecutive Olympic gold medals and that running in Berlin is the best way to prepare for this.

Another Kenyan, Vincent Kipkemboi, finished second in 2:03:13.

Tadese Takele of Ethiopia finished third in 2:03:24, an impressive run for the first-time runners in the Berlin Marathon.
