Director In Shah Demolitions Faces Robbery, Violence Charges

Barmasai denied the charges and was released on a bond of Ksh 3 million with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 2 million.

The director of a company engaged in the demolition of a house in Westlands has been arraigned in court today facing charges of robbery with violence.

Nathaniel Barmasai appeared before Milimani chief magistrate Wendy Micheni where he vehemently denied the allegations of robbery with violence.

According to the charge sheet, on November 4, Barmasai violently robbed Niraj Shah and Avani Shah of commodities valued at Sh18 million.

The two are the proprietors of the house in Westlands, and Barmasai is the director of Lariak Properties.

“On November 4, Barmasai robbed electronic equipment, jewellery, and various household goods,” the charge sheet reads.

The police told the court that the accused threatened to use violence before robbing the Asian family.
